Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder was born on Winona Minnesota. Parents named her Winona after the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz is her father and Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder's dad came from a Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. Ryder is the youngest sister of Uria who is half-sister to Jubal & Sunyata. Ryder moved with her family to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. The family didn't have electricity. Ryder was a consummate bookworm and would spend her days studying books since there was no TV. Ryder began taking acting lessons in the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 at the age of 12. Lucas The film from 1986 that she was in, was her debut major part. Ryder was 15 when she got it. Ryder had to deal with bullying throughout her high school years. Her acting career, she hoped that it would aid her. It didn't turn out. However, she was determined to pursue the dreams she had. In 1988, it was when Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that was her breakthrough. Ryder went on to have numerous roles that were successful. In 1993 Ryder was twice nominated to win Academy Awards. One of was for her performance In The Age of Innocence.
